HOPE
for Pets, through a partnership with the Kentucky Humane
Society (KHS), is offering a proactive solution to the pet
overpopulation crisis in Bullitt County.
The new KHS “S.N.I.P. Clinic”
opened February 5, 2007. The facility, located at 2445
Crittenden Drive, is dedicated entirely to spay/neuter
efforts for members of the community who otherwise could not
afford to sterilize their pets. HOPE for Pets, as a Regional
Transport Partner for the Kentucky Humane Society,
helps provide affordable spay/neuter surgeries and will
assist in the scheduling and transport of owned pets.
HOPE for Pets provides this service on the fourth Thursday
of each month. County licenses are also available to
purchase.

To insure safe transport of the
pets, we are in need of the hard plastic "airline"
style carriers. If you would like to donate a carrier
or the money to purchase one, please email or call us
at the number listed below. All donations are
appreciated!
For questions, to see if you qualify or to schedule an
appointment, call (502) 955-3586 or email
SpayNeuter@hopeforpets.org. A volunteer will
return your call within 24 hours.
Why spay and neuter your pets? The Kentucky Humane
Society says it best, “they’re
just not going to do it themselves.” |
